Pietro Russo began his training in painting and ceramics before entering the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, where he studied scenography. By understanding the design process as a research into scenic environments, he expanded his exploration into the fields of interior and product design.
Between 1997 and 2002, he developed his work in Berlin, working on film sets and interior design while collaborating with galleries on limited-edition objects. Upon moving to Milan, he began a long and fruitful collaboration with Lissoni Associati, working for brands such as Alessi, Cappellini, Benetton, and the Kerakoll design gallery. In his solo career, he contributes to major brands such as Baxter and Gallotti&Radice.
In 2010, he founded his own company, focusing on a passion for architectural scenery and the recovery of traditional craftsmanship. Russo creates unique objects that dialogue with the particular history of each space, translating the ancestral expressions of master craftsmen into his own contemporary language.
