A historical milestone for Italian design: Pietro and Antonio Franco Galimberti have received the prestigious 2026 Compasso d’Oro Lifetime Achievement Award.
Established in 1954, the Compasso d’Oro is the oldest and most respected recognition in international design. For its 29th edition, the ADI (Association for Industrial Design) chose to honor the Galimberti brothers for their leadership at the helm of one of the pillars of the Made in Italy movement: Flexform.
A trajectory of elegance and tradition
The jury highlighted the family’s trajectory, which has spanned generations, elevating furniture manufacturing to its highest level. With deep roots in the Meda and Brianza region, north of Milan, the Galimbertis have successfully brought a vision of understated and timeless elegance to the world.
Honored by the distinction, Pietro and Antonio Franco Galimberti made a point of extending the award to everyone who is part of this history.
