
Claesson Koivisto Rune is a Swedish architectural partnership, founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune. It began as an architecture firm but has since become an internationally acclaimed, multidisciplinary office with equal emphasis on architecture and design. Project categories include architecture, furniture design, lighting and objects, exhibitions, etc.
Their products have been designed for over 80 international companies, including Arflex, Boffi, Capdell, Cappellini, David Design, Discipline, Dune NY, Fontana Arte, Italesse, Kasthall, Living Divani, Paola Lenti, Petite Friture, Skandiform, Skultuna, Swedese, Tacchini, and Wästberg.
For their work, they have received over 60 awards, including Designer of the Year and Best Seating of 2014 from Elle Décor Italia, Designer of the Year 2011 and Furniture of the Year 2012 from Elle Deco (Sweden), Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award, German Design Award (Gold and Silver) 2011 from the Federal Republic of Germany, Good Design Award USA, iF Product Design Award, Good Design Award Japan, Design S, and the Red Dot Design Award – Best of the Best 2014, making them the first firm to hold a Red Dot in five different product categories.
