Francesco Rota is an award-winning interior and product designer from Milan. Born in 1966, he graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Switzerland and opened his own studio in 1998, working across various aspects of design, including furniture, lighting, offices, residences, and showrooms.
He has collaborated with major international brands such as Mercedes Benz and L’Oréal Paris, but it was in the furniture sector that he stood out, producing furniture and accessories for Driade, Knoll, Living Divani, Paola Lenti, Oluce, among others. His work is a fundamental part of the history of the Italian brand Paola Lenti, having produced iconic furniture that earned him important awards.
Globally recognized, his design has received special mentions at the Compasso d’Oro award, in addition to accolades such as the German Design Award 2016, Red Dot Design Award, Design Index ADI, and Wallpaper Designer of the Year. He has also participated in various exhibitions in Miami, Zurich, Venice, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
