Lina Obregón is a renowned industrial design consultant, born in Colombia and based in Milan, Italy. Her robust academic background includes a degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Bionics and Design from the IED research center, focusing on strategic and product design.
Obregón serves as a product design consultant for various industry-leading companies, including Paola Lenti, MDF Italia, Serralunga, and Porcelanosa. Her design excellence achieved widespread recognition when the Telar outdoor seating collection, developed for Paola Lenti, won the prestigious RED DOT AWARD 2020 BEST OF THE BEST.
With a personal approach guided by curiosity and experimentation, her work is rooted in extensive experience gained from collaborations with Milanese design studios, many of which have been recipients of international awards. Lina Obregón is also active in the academic field, having founded and directed the bionics research group at the Pontifical Bolivarian University, and teaching at institutions such as the European Institute of Design and Domus Academy.
