Paola Navone is an exception within the Italian design landscape. For the past thirty years, she has maintained a distinct personality within the predominantly male elite of Italian design.
In the 1980s, Navone was an active participant in avant-garde design movements. In 1988, she co-founded the brand Mondo alongside Giulio Cappellini. After living in Hong Kong for many years, she embraces the identity of a nomadic designer.
Drawing from her early experiences, Paola Navone possesses a unique talent for reimagining the past, bringing it to life through new, contemporary forms. This process is always deeply anchored in traditional craftsmanship. Today, she works as an interior designer and furniture consultant. Her intuition is widely renowned; she was among the first designers to create oversized, deep living room furniture and was a pioneer of the “shabby-chic” aesthetic.
As a designer who defies rules and breaks barriers, her portfolio spans a broad spectrum—from decorative objects, textiles, and lighting to jewelry and interior design for showrooms and exhibitions. Her client list is filled with prestigious names: Gervasoni, Baxter, Poliform, E.M.U., Linteloo, Armani, and Driade are just a few examples. Her work also includes interior projects for the Como Group hotel chain and numerous awards across Europe and Japan.
